Salary: 100K-140K Annual; Commensurate with Education / Experience

Overview

The Operations Support Specialist, Intermediate II, plays a vital role in providing comprehensive operations support within the Department of Defense (DoD), Chief Program Executive (CPE), and Program Manager (PM) organizations. This position involves a variety of analytical and administrative duties designed to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Support: Assist in executing a diverse range of operational tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Staffing Management: Manage staffing requirements and track both internal and external deadlines, as well as correspondence with designated functional areas.
  • Analytical Support: Provide analytical support in areas such as planning, risk management, and program analysis.
  • Task Tracking: Monitor and ensure timely responses to all organizational tasks, facilitating effective communication across teams.
  • Process Documentation: Collaborate in the definition and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other written processes.
  • Planning Coordination: Ensure integrated short-term, mid-term, and long-range planning on various projects and tasks.
  • Policy Development: Initiate, develop, revise, and recommend implementation of policies, plans, procedures, and directives under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Problem Identification: Identify existing and potential problem areas and recommend corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Advisory Support: Provide advisory assistance to higher-level staff regarding program objectives, briefing preparations, and organizational goals.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and support to organizational leadership, staff, and program managers on assigned projects.
  • Project Management Support: Assist in detailed planning for complex management projects, including risk analysis and tracking of cost, schedule, and performance metrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge and Experience: Extensive knowledge in operations support, planning processes, project management, and program analysis, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Office 365 and SharePoint, with relevant certifications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven ability to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.

The position requires a proactive approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
